Any thoughts on Wiki leaks latest release?
Not sure if this should be free speech or not, but the guy who released it might be charged.

@2043 What are you talking about?
Just because a group of people is large and rich and violent enough does not mean they suddenly have the right to kill others at their own discretion.
Governments do not have a right to secrecy because their authority must come from the consent of the governed, who cannot consent to that which they don't know about.

And if every one were privvy to what they do then nothing would get done.
None of the things you get to take for granted would have happened.
They are in power so that choices can be made regardless of how popular they are.
For example not one person have met to date can say why one thing or another would work to fix the current economic situation.

@2048 "take for granted" NOPE
I don't want those things. That's right, I don't want an army, I don't want taxes, I don't want "economic policy". Those all exist to protect and further the government, not me or my well being.

Anybody know anything about buying swords? I want a wakizashi. It has to be durable/usable but it doesn't have to be authentic japanese or anything.

Interesting video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHBsxfbgrbY&feature=player_embedded it on medical use of cannabis. I am still undecided on the issue, but it looks like the government should at least decriminalized cannabis. Since anyone can easily grow it.

I guess I was making the point that having or using cannabis won't be a crime, but the government doesn't endorse it in some way, but whatever

Decriminalization means that you wont get charged for possession, you may still be fined.

Yeah, I think he goes way too far with the conspiracy theories, oh, I did looked up some quote that was supposedly by jefferson (Alex Jones ironically used it in the Obama Deception), which in the exact form doesn't exist: http://www.monticello.org/site/research-and-collections/spurious-quotes

Don't know what you guys think of Glen Beck rally awhile back, but personally i think it kinda more religious than political... however I guess the socialist camp got their own rally on 10/2/2010 http://maroonedinmarin.blogspot.com/2010/10/one-nation-of-commies-unions-other.html

Anyone heard much on the Jon Stewart "Restore Sanity and/or Fear" rally? From what I heard, it more entertainment than a political rally, except this time, the show it self is pretty bad compared to Jon Stewart's usual shows. (even when leaving out politics)

It was awesome, I don't know what you're talking about. Also, it was about rationality in politics, rather than any specific political ideology or entertainment.

This may be a big concern for the upcoming election http://biggovernment.com/laborunionreport/2010/10/07/how-unions-or-their-allies-could-be-stealing-novembers-election-right-now/
If the democrats steal do the election through vote fraud, (and wind up wining big for no reasons) what we should do then?

Not sure what to think of this kind of thing, on one hand it smacks of conspiracy theory and on the other it also seems like more business-as-usual for american politics.
