American Psycho - 5 out of 5 stars.

Fucking epic movie.

American Psycho is awesome. I hear the book is three times as twisted.

A bud of mine is reading Lolita and American Psycho now. I'm a bit frightened.

Also, Lolita: amazing movie, amazing book.

The Brothers Bloom - 3 out of 5 stars.

Engaging movie, keeps you guessing until the end. Watched it last night and still thinking about it today.

Something about people and a bank robbery gone bad. can't tell you what the name is or how good it was. i was drunk.

@36
Blame it on the a-a-a-a-alcohol...

November 16 2009, 14:24:40 #40 [0 Agree] [0 S] [0 T]

@36 sounds like Wild At Heart by David Lynch.

The Village - wat out of 5

Seriously, the idea wasn't bad but the execution was so cryptic and slow that it killed it.

November 18 2009, 01:58:56 #57 [1 Agree] [0 S] [0 T]

Advertisements killed The Village for me. It was advertised as horror; horror it was not.

November 18 2009, 11:11:45 #62 [0 Agree] [0 S] [0 T]

The Village was definitely an interesting movie, but I still wouldn't give it more than 3 out of 5... way too slow and contrived.

Mulholland Drive, 5/5. fucking good shiznats

November 18 2009, 18:23:28 #80 [0 Agree] [0 S] [0 T]

Paranormal Activity. Fuckin' 1/5

November 18 2009, 23:57:06 #101 [0 Agree] [0 S] [0 T]

Mulholland was good, but the lesbian stuff weirded me out for some reason.

I love you man 5 out of 5 that was some funny stuff

Men Who Stare at Goats - 4/5 funny, odd, somewhat campy - worth seeing though

Burn After Reading. 4/5, 5/5 when snuggling.

December 4 2009, 08:58:09 #477 [1 Agree] [0 S] [0 T]

Pretty much any movie is 5/5 when you're snuggling. But yeah, Burn After Reading is one of my favorite movies.

2012 2/5 on plot, 4/5 on concept.

Sahara 0/5 turned that crap off.

THREAD RESURRECTION!

Drillbit Taylor - 0/5 shittiest movie I've seen all year.

January 10 2010, 20:01:47 #1041 [0 Agree] [0 S] [0 T]

@1037

In 10 days of the year, it's pretty easy to see that.

So far I've seen Reefer Madness (basically no redeeming values), Forrest Gump (amazing as always) and Rushmore. Gotta love Wes Anderson.

Anybody seen Book of Eli yet? I might go see it.

January 18 2010, 02:16:30 #1092 [0 Agree] [0 S] [0 T]

Yeah, I saw it last night, and it was pretty good. Don't expect anything too deep, but an entertaining movie for sure.

Book of Eli - 5/5

Epic win if you enjoy the post-apocalyptic genre.

January 24 2010, 01:05:18 #1123 [0 Agree] [0 S] [0 T]

I liked it more for the artistic aspect - the cinematography was really beautiful.

January 24 2010, 05:00:26 #1124 [0 Agree] [0 S] [0 T]

The Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy - 3.5/5

Good movie, the book just was light years ahead of it.

January 24 2010, 07:24:32 #1126 [0 Agree] [0 S] [0 T]

I had always read that the author wrote the book sober, but did all the editing drunk as a skunk

The HGTTG book series is a special kind of awesome that can't be translated into film. It's the use of your imagination that really makes it awesome.

Book of Eli was really good. 4/5, and don't expect too much from it.

Watched "I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell" last night... 3/5 - entertaining but utterly pointless. Plenty of boobs if you're into that.

I do like boobs...
