Should women be allowed to walk around in public topless as men are?

Personally, I don't see a problem with it. It's absurd, however, to expect that men won't be staring. Men like boobs.

I'd really prefer it if they didn't. That goes for both sexes. Most people are gross looking. That said, I think that they should be allowed to.
I've been to topless beaches before, and if I have any choice in the matter, I will not be going back.

I think its a reasonable thing, but she is really stupid to think that men wouldn't have come to watch...
She is trying to abolish a double standard as she sees it, but her opinion aside she fails to notice that women are not men, so men find them interesting to look at, to say the least.

Men finding breasts attractive is a biological thing. If she wants to change that, she is going to have to work a hell of a lot harder.

I dunno, as a man I think she should continue to expose us to large quantities of attractive breasts and see if it desensitizes us. :D

@1722 Biological? Citation needed? There are many cultures that don't fetish-ize breasts as the West does. Just because the majority of the world enjoys them as a fetish doesn't mean it's biological.
I think we're attracted to them because they're usually hidden, as ankles once were, fex.

@1725 That's because those cultures have nasty titties.

@1725 I in fact don't have a specific citation. I am drawing from having seen artifacts from many different cultures which emphasize breasts, these being primarily fertility idols, etc. I forget the name of the piece, but one of the earliest known pieces of art is a small carving of a woman with grossly enlarged breasts and hips.
Also, since breasts serve a part in the reproductive cycle (the feeding of the young), it makes sense that they would be a part of the equation for choosing a mate, and thus sexually attractive.

Women should be allowed to be topless just as men are allowed to be.
But women sure make comments if they see a disgusting, hairy, shirtless fat man on the street; they should expect just the same from men if a fast, nasty woman is topless. And, since equality is all that matters, they should actually be looking for that reaction.
