@1844 I think that great pain, either physical, mental or emotional is a good reason. I was mostly just curious as to what others thought though.

There's no legitimate correlation between gender and appropriateness of crying. It's arbitrary. If you want a contextual answer, it's okay for a guy to cry if the people he's around think it's okay for him to cry, or if he's alone and doesn't tell anyone who won't think it was okay for him to have cried.
